Boyfriend update, soccer team drama, New Hampshire, AOC's bloopers, Mitt Romney, and watermelon
Hey guys,
What a time to be a political journalist in D.C! I was up late last night covering the New Hampshire primary, getting home for the day only around midnight. It's been a treat covering this 2020 race in-depth, even though it has involved a LOT of late nights recently. I truly love what I'm doing, though, and it never really feels like work.
Now, the highly-anticipated boyfriend update: We're a week or so into the crazy two-month test prep period he's got going on for med school, and so far so good. He's working out of a WeWork near my apartment, so I come keep him company and sometimes bring him meals. Then we both get our money's worth of the free Commonwealth Joe's Cold Brew on tap! He's crazy busy with the studying, but has managed to carve out lots of time for me, and is even making me dinner tonight. That means the world to me -- just more proof I got me a good one.
Oh, in bad news, I got kicked off my only remaining soccer team. Yeah, you'll remember I was in a gay soccer league and they kicked me out for my "dangerous" opinions apparently making other people feel safe. Well, I was still on one other team that isn't affiliated with the gay league, but I got kicked off that league, too. Someone complained that my ideas (read: not my behavior) made them uncomfortable/unsafe, and the team captain, who I had considered a friend, immediately folded.
Sad and pathetic, but telling.
By the way, make sure you're following my official Facebook page! I plan to start using it more regularly again.
Food take:
Watermelon is gross. Sorry not sorry those are just the facts.

'Brave' and 'principled' Mitt Romney once threw a gay aide under the bus to get ahead
Mitt Romney voted to impeach Trump, and now people are lauding him as some principled hero. But setting that one vote aside, he has a long history of spinelessness, and treated Richard Grenell horribly in 2012. Read more.
