Career news, bailout waste, quarantine Starbucks, & I interview a Trump cabinet official
The latest Weekly Brad update for your leisurely reading pleasure.
Hey everyone,
I hope you’re all managing through the lock down just fine.
So, I might have some exciting career news soon about what’s next. But for now I can’t share anything! I still have more than a month and a half at the Examiner until my fellowship ends in June, and I am very much enjoying the writing I get to do every day and the great writers I get to work with.
One big tidbit I can share: It looks like I will soon be signing with a literary agent. I will be completing a book proposal and trying to get a book contract in the coming months! It’ll be a nonfiction political book on LGBT issues from a right-of-center perspective.
My boyfriend and I have been sitting tight, spending lots of time together, and eating really good food. (Which either he makes from scratch or I order from takeout xD). Nothing crazy, new, or wild to report!
Meme: I made this one myself!
Food Take: Kidney beans are disgusting! It’s a no from me.

It’s almost like big government programs inevitably come with corruption, fraud, and waste.
OOPS: Establishment Republicans hate Thomas Massie so much they donated to an alt-right challenger
As close to a right-wing libertarian as any member of Congress comes, Massie is one of my favorites. The way that Liz Cheney and other establishment Republicans attack him is disgraceful, and now, it’s even racist. (P.S. He tweeted out my article and followed me and yes I am fangirling big-time).
New polling reveals Democratic Party’s woke paternalism
White, well-educated Democrats are upset about having a white male nominee, but polling shows minority Democrats have a very different view of things.
Real Journalism-ing Alert: I interviewed EPA Administrator Andrew Wheeler. Today, for Earth Day, I published an article based on that interview examining the ways in which liberal journalists often cover him unfairly.
Liberal media gives Trump EPA head Andrew Wheeler a bad rap
Bonus Brad: Yes, me and the boyfriend managed to find the ONLY Starbucks open anywhere near us ;D
