Hey everyone,
This past week was my birthday week! I turned 23 years-old on Thursday. The BF and I spent the evening with two close friends who made us a wonderful home-cooked chicken parm dinner (one of my favorites!). It was a wonderful day and I spent much of it thinking about how lucky I am to have the life that I have and get to do the work that I do at such a young age.
In other news, I am really enjoying my new full-time role at FEE. I am learning more about economics, doing high-quality writing every day, and working with a great team.
There’s not much else to report, other than that I started watching The Rain on Netflix and it is really good. If you have recommendations for good sci-fi/apocalypse books or TV shows, drop me a note!
Until next weekend, stay well.
Meme: New York City be like…
Food Take: Pie is the BEST part of Thanksgiving. Cherry, pumpkin, pecan, and STRAWBERRY RHUBARB pie are my favorites.
Podcast: My latest episode is OUT NOW.
I interviewed YouTube star Hunter Avallone on his journey from right-wing reactionary to center-left critic. We also discussed and debated trans issues, the #BlackLivesMatter movement, and more.

Plus, I had a special mid-week BONUS podcast episode featuring Grover Norquist of Americans for Tax Reform, one of the most prominent fiscal conservatives in American politics.
We talked about the many ways tax cuts won on Election Day, the potential Biden agenda, Trump’s record, climate change, carbon taxes, and more.

The coronavirus crisis is getting out of control once again, with cases and hospitalizations spiking. I argue in a new Washington Examiner column that our political leadership’s painful hypocrisy, exposed time and time again, is undermining public health and our collective response to this surge.
The three most reliable things in life: Death, taxes, and the government wasting our money. As I detail in a new FEE article, the federal government allowed billions to fly out the door via the Paycheck Protection Program to fraudulent and unverified claims.
Why Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s latest New York COVID restrictions make ZERO sense. I explain in a new FEE article that the governor’s latest dictates are arbitrary and unscientific—as sweeping central planning is by definition.
California voters chose basic economics over feel-good politics. I wrote a National Review Op-Ed explaining why California were right to reject “rent control” at the ballot box.
