Huge SCOTUS LGBT Case, Hot Cake Takes, Radio, Netflix, COVID-19 & More
What a wild week it has been!
Hey everyone,
What a wild week it has been!
The biggest story of the week in my book, no doubt, is the Supreme Court’s 6-3 ruling applying the Civil Rights Act’s employment protections to LGBT Americans, with conservative Justices Neil Gorsuch and John Roberts joining the liberal wing. I know it’s a complicated legal debate, and I certainly don’t think you’re evil or a nasty bigot if you think the court got this one wrong. But I do encourage you to read Gorsuch’s opinion with an open mind, and also read my column explaining why I think his ruling is actually completely in line with conservative philosophy — and backed by razor-sharp logic.
Anyway, in a quick boyfriend update, he’s been away visiting family for several days now. We won’t see each other again for about 5 days. It has been way harder than I anticipated… I’m spoiled and have gotten used to having him by my side every day 😞💔.
Meme:
Food Take: Most cake is mediocre. With a few exceptions (like cheesecake) it just isn’t worth the calories. Sorry not sorry.
Media Corner: I had the chance to do three radio interviews making the case to conservative hosts and audiences in favor of Gorsuch’s decision. Click here (long one) or here (short one) to listen!
