The most contentious TV interview I've done in a LONG time
I debated Biden's student loan bailout on TV and it got super spicy.
Hey everybody!
I hope you all had a great weekend. My boyfriend, unfortunately, had to work most of the weekend, but my mom is in town so it’s been nice visiting with her for a few days. One weird thing that happened over the weekend was our fire alarms randomly going off at 2:00 am. We were worried there might be carbon monoxide or something so we actually had the Fire Department come out and check and there wasn’t anything amiss. Apparently, the universe just felt like trolling us/disrupting our sleep for some lols.
Anyway, last week was an INSANE week for me. If you’ve followed my work for a while, you’ll know that student debt and the policy debates over “cancelation” have been interests of mine for a long time. (I’m even doing a fellowship project/potentially writing a book on this issue!) So, when Biden announced a $10,000-$20,000 per borrower bailout plan, my inbox flooded with media inquiries and writing opportunities. You can check them all out in the later portions of this email, but one of those opportunities ended up being the most contentious TV interview I’ve done in a long time—maybe ever.
I was invited on The Hill’s massive YouTube show, Rising, which is co-hosted by my friend Robby Soave. For the episode I appeared on, the other co-host was former Bernie Sanders spokeswoman Briahna Joy Gray and the other guest was progressive activist Astra Taylor.
It ended up being one of the fiercest and most contentious media appearances I’ve ever done. You really should watch it, if you can stomach it! I think I represented myself well and got my arguments out there in an effective way. On one negative front, my boyfriend was working and not around when we recorded, so I had to do my own hair, and he wasn’t happy with how it looked.
Let me know what you think! It was a really cool opportunity to reach tens of thousands of people who don’t agree with me with my message. I’m also going to do a follow-up video reacting to the comments from the video, so stay tuned for that.
Have a great week!

I was on KENNEDY last week, and got the chance to discuss the retirement of the one and only Dr. Fauci. I hope y’all enjoy this line I dropped:

In a new YouTube video, I react to conservative commentator Matt Walsh baselessly accusing a random gay couple of molesting their dog. I explain why this ugly commentary has no basis in the evidence and peddles harmful stereotypes.
I also have a new video out where I react to the most absurd communist tweets from progressive commentator Nina Turner.
