The Weekly Brad: Flag burning, Cory Booker's flip-flopping, and D.C.'s guns laws
Hi friends, family, colleagues, acquaintances, and random internet friends,
Brad here, with round 2 of my new weekly newsletter. Thanks so much to all of you for subscribing.
It's been a crazy week so far both in politics and in my life! I've been stalling on a furniture delivery for about a week now. Not sure how that's going to work out, so for now my apartment remains half-furnished.

Another Anti-Gay Hate Crime -- How Long Before DC Lets Gays Defend Ourselves?
D.C. police arrested three suspects yesterday in connection to a vicious anti-gay beating that happened on Sunday morning. This is just another ugly reminder that hate still lingers out there, which makes it all the more important that the D.C. municipal government stop heavily restricting our Second Amendment right to self-defense. Bonus Brad: Meet my cubicle neighbor & lovely colleague Madeline Fry. She's a culture writer for the Examiner, and has a hot take out now about Taylor Swift's new song "You Need to Calm Down" and its political message. You should read her piece too.
